According to the Insurance Information Institute (I.I.I.), there are more than 27 million businesses in the United States. While small businesses vary widely in the products and services that they provide to consumers, these same businesses often have common needs when it comes to small business insurance.
The I.I.I. recently took aim at eliminating some of the confusion that can come along with small business insurance, releasing a new video targeted at educating small business owners about insurance needs and options that may be available to them.

New York, March 31, 2011 — American International Group, Inc. today announced a reorganization of Chartis, its global property casualty business, and named a new management team, including a new Chief Executive Officer, Peter D. Hancock, currently AIG Executive Vice President, Finance, Risk and Investments. Mr. Hancock succeeds Kristian P. Moor, who has been named Vice Chairman of Chartis, reporting to Mr. Hancock. Chicago, April 11, 2011 – Hub International Limited , a leading insurance brokerage firm, announced today that it has acquired the assets of Hale Insurance Brokerage, L.L.C. , a Cranford, New Jersey-based insurance brokerage firm. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Employees of Hale will become part of the Hub International Northeast Limited operations in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. Car owners and others driving four wheelers are very much concerned about windscreen insurance of their vehicles. In last three years low temperatures during winter season and snow falls have adversely affected road transport. It has also created problem of ice deposit on windscreen of cars. This is very depressing to many automobile owners since they find ice accumulated on windscreens of cars every morning, during winter. There are many easy tips to escape from this freezing situation. One can place a sheet of cardboard under the windscreen wipers of his car.
This cardboard can be thrown in the morning to enjoy a drive with clear view.

Aon Benfield, the global reinsurance intermediary and capital advisor of Aon Corporation , today releases its Reinsurance Market Outlook – June & the pricing of Florida renewals was flat to -5 percent for Aon Benfield clients, which was directly in-line with the firm’s guidance published April 1. New Zealand renewals pricing at June 1 increased more than 100 percent due to the large and still uncertain losses from the series of events in Christchurch.
Florida accounts where clients opted for co-broking services averaged increases of 10 percent. Clients where Aon Benfield served as sole broker averaged decreases of 7.5 percent.
