Thanks to Omnium, a software company located in Sydney, Australia, getting life insurance has just become a little easier for those with an iPhone.
Consumers with the Apple device can now get life insurance quotes through their phones by downloading the Omnium application. Instantly, users can receive quotes from 12 different insurers on the go.
“iPhone apps or mobile phone apps in general are beginning to shape the way people consume, so we thought it was necessary to leverage the online solutions we have already developed for the industry into a quick and easy-to-use iPhone app,” Omnium founder David King told Insurance Rate. “The response so far has been amazing.”
King also tells the site that he hopes the easily accessible app will solve the issue of under-insurance in the industry here in the United States. About 30 percent of the cell phone users in the U.S. have iPhones.
Life insurance companies help families plan for the unexpected and how to deal with their finances after a loved one has passed away. Premiums depend on the person applying for the life insurance and vary on a case-to-case basis.
